Enterprise Community Partners is a national nonprofit headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, that exists to make a good home possible for the millions of families without one. Founded in 1982 by Jim and Patty Rouse, Enterprise combines capital, program solutions, policy advocacy, and direct community development under one roof. Since its founding it has invested $92.0 billion and created 1.1 million homes across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Enterprise's mission is to make a good home possible for the millions of families without one. History
Enterprise was established in 1982 by developer Jim Rouse and his wife Patty Rouse, inspired by three women committed to improving their Washington, DC community. The IRS issued its tax exemption in June 1981.

Since 1982, Enterprise reports it has invested $92.0 billion and created 1.1 million homes, with work spanning all 50 states, Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The organization was named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2023, holds a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, and has earned Candid's Gold Transparency designation.
