KIPP Texas Public Schools is a network of public charter schools serving more than 29,000 Pre-K through 12th grade students across 47 schools in four Texas regions: Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. History
KIPP's roots are in Texas: the national network began as a college-prep program for fifth graders in Houston, and KIPP Texas describes an impact spanning 30 years in the state. KIPP previously operated four separate charter school networks in Texas — in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio — and in 2018 announced that the four divisions would merge into a single statewide network, KIPP Texas Public Schools.
